Hunter Association

The Hunter Association is the governing body that licenses and regulates Hunters worldwide. Founded over 300 years ago, the Association is headquartered in the Republic of Padokea and operates under the leadership of a Chairman, Vice Chairman, and the Zodiac Twelve — an elite council of the most powerful and accomplished Hunters.

The Association licenses different types of Hunters: Ruins Hunters, Beast Hunters, Disease Hunters, Gourmet Hunters, Blacklist Hunters, and more. Each Hunter specializes in a different field, contributing to humanity's knowledge and safety.

The Zodiac Twelve

The Zodiac Twelve is an elite council of the most powerful Hunters selected by the Chairman. Each member is assigned an animal sign and is responsible for overseeing different aspects of the Association's operations. They serve as both advisors and enforcers of the Chairman's will.

The Zodiacs were originally hand-picked by Chairman Netero himself. After his death, the council took on greater responsibility in selecting new leadership and shaping the future of the Hunter organization. Their political dynamics and conflicting ideologies make them one of the most interesting aspects of the series' later arcs.
